These are very pretty lamps. They are described as industrial, but I would consider them a bit more deco or even 80s depending on how you are styling them. They have enough weight to sit well on the table, but not overly heavy. I like that they are a traditional plug in (as opposed to needing to charge) and that you can plug your phone into the base to charge as well. Each lamp holds two bulbs with a separate chain so you can turn them on/off independently, which i love! The shade is very white (I replaced with a more natural colored shade). I am using these gold 26.5" table lamps for my personal use in my reading room area. I feel that the price is fair for the product I received and compared to others on the market. Made from a lightweight but durable quality material. They are well-balanced on top of table and have a good comfortable lighting. The size is good for my reading room and they have a modern look. I was looking for a nice pair of table lamps for the entrance to my house and came across this set. They have a beautiful gold finish with oval shaped details on the stem, along with hanging pull chains for turning each light on and off. Each lamp features two light sockets, which provides plenty of illumination. The base is made of metal and feels solid and well constructed. A feature I really like is the built in USB ports. Each lamp includes both a USB type A and a USB type C port, which makes it easy to charge a phone or tablet right at the table. The lampshades are made of a linen style material in an off white cream color that looks clean and elegant. The overall design feels very contemporary and looks great in my space. One thing to be aware of is that the lampshades do require some assembly and do not come pre assembled. I included photos of the shade frame to show what that looks like. Once everything is put together, the lamps look excellent. I assume the shades are shipped this way to save space during packaging, good value for the money. These lamps are perfect for a bedroom because they have an outlet in the base for both a USB-C and also a USB-A. That means when someone is there, they don’t have to crawl behind the bed for an outlet to plug in a phone or charger. Each lamp uses two regular lightbulbs which means there is a lot of light. They have separate chain pulls for turning the bulbs on. I am putting a 40-watt soft-white bulb in the back socket and I’m putting a 100-watt daylight bulb in the front. That way, when I just want a nice ambient glow, I can have the 40-watt turned on. But if I am working in the room doing things, I turn on the other bright white bulb. I could also turn them both on (which would show up as one yellowish bulb and one whitish bulb, but give more light). The lamps came packed flat. That made me think they were going to be in a bunch of pieces. Surprisingly, that was not the case. Assembly was literally just screwing one pipe into two ends. Then I put the lampshade together and had to screw the finial onto the top of the lampshade. It was easy. The lampshade is really the only thing I don’t like about it. I think I would like it more if it were ivory instead of white. The white just makes it look plastic. It has a fabric exterior, but the interior is a plastic. They feel very solid and work great for nightstands in a guest room. They do have a “hotel room” vibe to them, though. They are quite modern. Read more

I was very annoyed with the amount of meticulous unpacking required just to get the things out of the package. Multiple layers of wrapped and knotted plastic, which is then also tightly wrapped in mutilple places and multiple layers with tape. It required between five and 10 minutes of careful work with a razor knife just to finally get the pieces all free. The shades come rolled up and they snap onto a round frame at top and bottom, and the seam is closed with poorly fitting Velcro, leaving an unsightly gap. If you are planning to use it against a wall, that might be acceptable, but I would not want this ugly seam to be visible on a side table, for instance. The metal of the lamp has several flaws, and the pieces are ill-fitting, leaving a clear metal seam with a rough edge at top and bottom at each junction where the pieces fit together. The amount of shredded plastic wrap left over after unwrapping just a single lamp was impressive. Nowhere on the description did the seller state that the item would take such extensive assembly. In fact, they describe it as "ready to gift and impress...an unforgettable present for weddings, housewarmings..." I agree that a recipient would never forget receiving a gift that required this much work just to use, and with such a poor payoff at the end. I don't intend to even unpack the second lamp. The assembly for these lamps took about 25 mins, mostly just the top light bulb segments and shades. The metal base is firm and heavy enough to prevent tipping over (think a paperweight). It's hard to me to get the shades on without an angle and I think its because the inner cord is a bit long. Otherwise I think these add a stylish touch and having USB ports is super convenient.
