I'm coming from a history of using various types of Pill dispensers, from your basic pill boxes to sophisticated wifi automatic pill dispensers so I have a pretty good handle on the good, the bad and the ugly. The Ideerfit 28-day dispenser is basic but still has the features that make it a good choice for those who don't want to spend alot of get stuck in a subscription based model. This unit has the ability to dispense up to 28 dosages in a given month. It comes with dosage rings to help with setting up a schedule for either once, twice, three times and four times a day. Giving you the flexibility for anywhere from 28-day supply to 7=day supply based on dosage schedule. Each compartment is large enough for a decent amount of pills. Setting up the unit was easy and straightforward out of the box. Setting the dosage schedules was very easy using the buttons and the LCD screen. The unit also has a locking feature with a set of keys to help prevent accidental pill access as well as preventing access to the programming buttons as a safety feature. The unit has various methods of alerting you when to retrieve your pills, You can have just an audible or visible notification or have both. The unit is just over 8 inches (23 cm) square and about 4 inches (11 cm) high. SOME OBSERVATIONS TO NOTE: DON'T REMOVE THE TRAY ONCE YOU HAVE ADDED YOUR PILLS. The pill tray is bottomless so once you start adding your medications, if you need to remove the tray for any reason, you need to remove your meds with the included tweezers or you will have a pile of mixed up pills to sort out. The unit comes with a USB-C to USB-A power cable but you will need to supply your own 5v power brick (charger) with a USB type-A port, as the unit does not come with a charging brick. You will also need 4 AA batteries for backup power. The unit does come with a small phillips screwdriver to remove the battery cover. (nice touch) When starting the pill dispensing with this unit, if using the dosage rings to keep with adherence and schedule you really need to start on "day 1" of what every schedule you want to do. Example.. If you want to do a 28-day schedule you need to start on the first of the month. There is no way to advance the tray "mid-cycle". The unit is designed to start on day one of whatever your schedule you set up. One nice feature id that the unit has a built in flexible dispense time window. The unit allows you to dispense 15 minutes before and up 30 minutes after the set scheduled time to press the dispense button. After that 30 minute window the unit will automatically advance the try so that you required meds will be available for you to prevent a missed dose. Overall this is a good starter automatic pill dispenser without all the extra features that you may not need like remote access or a phone app to setup. It's simple but effective for what it was designed to do. If you need a system that will be for you or a loved one that needs to be on a schedule for taking pills and adherence is important, this is a good product to use. I gave it 4 stars only because my unit had a minor flaw in the tray but it didn't not detract from the functionality of the unit at all. Read more

I purchased this for my mother. It is the second automatic pill dispenser we've tried. I don't think the people that engineer/produce these actually test them on the elderly. In order to access the medication, you have to push a button and then pull out a small plastic tray. The tab on the small plastic tray is rather small (less than an inch). My mother did not have the hand/finger strength to remove the tray (it is difficult for me to remove). So this was a complete waste of money. The other problem is that you have to place a small plastic tray under the device to catch the medicine when it falls. When I pulled the tray to dispense the medication, some of the pills missed or bounced out of the tray. If my mother were able to pull the tab to dispense the medication and did remember to replace the catch tray some pills would probably miss (and she'd never think to look for them). If she didn't remember to replace the catch tray, there is no doubt that she'd miss some of the pills under the device. Somebody please make one of these that is durable and easy for the elderly to actually use. Read more

This dispenser has changed my life. As a chronic pain patient I take multiple controlled medications. I was having issues taking some of my pills as prescribed, so I was running out DAYS early. I have tried 3 other machines that I could break into easily. I wasted over $500 on pill machines/organizers This one is awesome! It's very durable and it can not be unlocked without the key.
