The idea of this travel case is good, but the included solution bottle is very small—enough for a weekend trip at best. I also don’t use the applicator tools, since I was taught to use my fingers. I do rinse my lenses with solution before putting them in, so it would have been more practical if the bottle had a small nozzle instead of just an open top. I have worn soft contact lenses for many years. When I leave home on a trip, I usually take a 30 ml bottle of multi-purpose solution, along with my contact lens case. While I insert and remove my lenses using my fingers, rather than using a tweezer and inserter tool, I thought it might be nice to have a case where I could keep my contact lens supplies separate from all the other stuff I pack into a small suitcase for weekend trips. However, this kit will not meet my needs. First, the bottle for solution included in this kit holds far too little solution for a weekend trip. While I did not measure its capacity, my guess, based on comparing the size to a 30 ml bottle is that this only holds about 5 ml. A 30 ml bottle will hold enough solution for about a 4-day trip for me. But even if the bottle in this kit held enough solution, it is not the kind of bottle I would ever use. The way I have been taught to handle my lenses is to rinse them off with my solution by spraying them when I take out my lenses before storing them. Similarly, when I remove them from the storage case at the beginning of the day, I again direct a stream of solution at them. The bottle in this set has an open top, so there is no way to spray my lenses. The only thing you could do with this bottle is to use it to fill the contact lens case with solution for overnight storage. Second, I do not like the contact lens case that comes in this set. For me, I like having easy to read letters on the top of each cover. As you can see in the picture I took, the letters on the top of each cover are fairly subtle. While each cover is a different color (black for right and white for left), those colors do not mean anything to me. They are not standard colors for right and left. Finally, I have no use for the insertion and removal tools included with this set. While I am sure some people do find those tools helpful, I have never used anything but my fingers to insert and remove my lenses and I do not feel a need to learn a new technique now. The bottom line is that this travel set does not come close to meeting my needs. Read more
