These are a good value for the price. I’ve bought various generic melamine sponges over the years and never noticed a big difference between them. These are very in line with what I’ve used before from different suppliers. If you haven’t bought this type of sponge yet, here are a couple things to keep in mind. The term “magic” here is a little strong. It’s true that melamine can be great at removing certain types of stains or scrubbing off some stuck on oil from the stove. However, they are fragile and wear out quickly, like in minutes depending on what you’re cleaning. They get saturated with oil and grease easily. When something is really a mess, it’s easy to run through several of these at a time. Overall these are a great product to have around, and these can be very useful. I got a new house and the walls were a MESS! Miscellaneous splatters, stains, boogers, etc. i mean really gross…..but the paint itself looked like it was still in good shape. A friend suggested I try these. You know what? They worked! They don’t last long. Each wall took 4-5 sponges, but they did the trick. Took nearly all the stains, scuffs, etc. off the walls. Saved me hundreds of dollars on a project that was already WAY over budget. So if you have dirty walls and baseboards, give them a try. They really worked well for me. Every bit as good as the name brands. There is no embedded soap cleanser, but one may certainly add one's own. More dense than the name brand which means it doesn't disentegrate nearly as quickly. A little smaller size-wise, but thicker. Works well and a great value for the money. We like them and will purchase again when the need arises. Read more
