When I bought some good boiled wool house slippers they kept my feet cozy but had two inconvenient flaws. I kept walking out them sometimes tripping even AND since I have high arches were not comfortable all day. The solution was to get some good 3/4 arch supports to solve my issues. I wear supports in most of my other shoes and while these are not inexpensive they are worth every penny for all day comfort. So I just consider the relief I enjoy a necessary cost for the new comfort I get. So far they hold up very well and my carpets stay cleaner longer since by I change into them when I enter my home😊. These do seem to boost and support my arch. Firm, but with a little give to them. I put them under the shoes’ insole. This arrangement does raise the heel, which may bother some people but I think is working for me. They do take a couple of days to get used to.
