Needed a garbage can to fit between a bed and a nightstand with very little room to spare, and this fit the bill nicely. It's a wicker outer can and lid with a plastic inner liner that still manages to be both thin enough for tight spaces and big enough to hold a decent amount. The inner plastic liner has a rubber gasket that can hold a grocery bag or other small garbage bag in place to prevent it from slipping into the liner. The wicker looks nice, and feels quite sturdy and solid. The inner plastic liner is easy to remove and replace, and fits perfectly inside of the wicker shell even with a garbage bag inside. The lid flips open easily, so using the garbage can is just about as easy as it can get. The wicker lid doesn't seal to the wicker can, so it won't completely keep odors inside, but depending on where you're using this that won't be a problem. This isn't the cheapest garbage can out there, but it looks very nice and functions about as well as can be expected. This trash can would look great in a lot of places. I could see using it in an office, under the kitchen sink, in the bathroom of course,for almost anywhere. The shape makes it ideal for sliding into places like by a toilet which is where I'm using it. The top of mine has some small gaps so I don't assume you get the great smell retention but better than the open top one I was using. You could possibly use it to store toilet paper rolls too. Overall: It might look nice if it had some sort of coloring but I'm pretty happy with it. Quick and easy to pull out the bin and pop a new liner in. The price of it for the quality of it is just ok or fair. Not super expensive but not a screaming deal for a wicker trash can at least in my opinion. Whether or not this design fits your space will depend on the theme your house has. This would fit well in a farmhouse setting, but definitely not something like a contemporary space! The wicker is surprisingly soft and not like a hard dried wicker like what you would find on patio furniture. The lid is held on by just two thin loops though, just don't abuse it! The inside has a nice plastic insert that fits well and has an extra port to hold the trash bag. But wow, I wouldn't regularly pay $38 (at the time of this review) for a wicker trash can. It is well made and looks great. Made from real dried hyacinth. Got it as a trash bin but once I got it, decided I didn't want to use it for that. It has a removable plastic liner that has one of those holes in it that keeps the bag from sliding down. Trash bins, can get dusty and with the hyacinth, hard to clean. This wicker trash bin is awesome. It is a nice small size to fit in any room. The liner is a sturdy plastic and fits perfectly. The wicker makes it look like a basket when it is closed. So, it looks discreet wherever you decide to use it. The wicker is sturdy and looks like it will last well over time. The plastic bin has a nice slot to hold your trash bag in place. And the size is perfect for the small trash bags. I have been looking for a nice trash bin like this for my guest bedroom and this is perfect! This trash can fits very well into my powder room. It is small enough to fit in a small space but large enough to hold quite a bit. It is decorative and very useful. The top hides the contents in the insert makes it very easy to empty. The insert is easily washable. The wicker weave is very pleasing; it is attractive yet of obtrusive. It takes a little bit to get used to opening the lid but that is a very very minor and temporary distraction. I recommend this product. Read more
