I ordered this light and it arrived quickly, packaged well in a standard cardboard box. Everything inside was protected properly and arrived without damage. Assembly was fairly straightforward. If you’re even slightly handy, this can be put together easily with minimal tools. The overall build quality feels solid, and I really like the farmhouse look with the cage-style design. It has a nice presence and should look great in our bathroom once installed. The finish was excellent right out of the box, no scratches, dents, or marks. All hardware was included, including wire nuts, ground wire, and even heat shrink tubing. One thing I did notice was some light fuzzing on the rope portion of the fixture. I carefully cleaned that up with a lighter, which removed the loose fibers quickly. That worked well in my case, but obviously that’s something to do carefully and at your own risk. After cleaning it up, it looked good. There was a slight smell afterward from burning off the fuzz, but nothing major. A couple installation notes, This fixture includes heat shrink tubing meant to go over the wire nuts. That’s not something required in my area, and personally I’ve never seen an electrician use shrink tubing over standard wire nut connections in residential work. Also, The ground wire comes with an oversized ring terminal attached. It’s not immediately clear where that would be used. In most cases, I suspect an electrician would cut the ring off and just use the bare ground wire. I’m not installing it yet, so this review is based on packaging, assembly, and overall build quality rather than long-term performance. Some assembly is required. The included instructions were easy to read and understand. Assembly took no time at all. My photo of it installed was me trying 3 different lightbulbs, I plan on using the same bulb for each socket just trying to find one I like in it. They recommend the Edison bulb which I do not have but might try as I think it would add to the eye appeal (not that I would be staring at the lights all the time, lol) Finish and look is great compliment to bathroom. I like the accents of the hemp rope on the sockets. Clean lines and fits in my space. You could adjust how the light is positioned by attaching the plate differently on junction box. I like the downward look I did place the cages facing up but did not like the look. Love the feel of the light fixture as I was installing as it felt made of good quality materials and had a little weight to it. Great value for the price on this nice looking and feeling vanity light. I would recommend this light fixture. The only item I did not like was the wire nuts provided, yes they will work but having done lots of electrical projects I had some wire nuts laying around that felt better quality that I used. This bathroom light fixture looks quite nice and feels like solid quality! It can support up to 60W per bulb, so that's plenty bright, and it's highly functional at that brightness. Installation is okay, but it can be a bit confusing if you are not used to installing these types of things. I am pretty good at following instructions, although I have only installed a few ceiling lights in the past, but these instructions are a bit bare. I could have used more detail and photos/drawings to show how to install it. If you're more adept at installing lights, I'm sure this is very easy, but as a novice, it took me maybe 30-40 minutes. Overall, for the price, I think this is a solid value for money fixture, and I think that, given you know what you're doing, it's easy enough to install, although the instructions are a bit lacking. I got this light fixture to replace my old one that looked very out dated. My house decor is farmhouse/cottage so I thought this light fixture would work well in my bathroom. I can't install this type of stuff so I hired a handyman to install it for me and he had it up and working within 30 minutes, and he had no issues installing it. I bought new LED warm Edison bulbs for it and they really light up my bathroom with this new fixture. It looks great! While I would have preferred the lights facing downward, I had to have them face upward because my medicine cabinet door swings open and would be in the way. Now I have to patch and paint where my old was on the wall and the look will be complete. I love the rope twine wrapped on the light stems, that gives it a really nice vintage look and it is very unique and different from most other farmhouse/cottage styled lights. The price point on this light is also very reasonable. Read more
