The lamps are mostly metal with a black scratch resistant satin finished coating. They are IPX4 rated, which is water resistant so you are covered in light to moderate rain. They have a decent weight to them, so they are durable and tip resistant. The lights are on the underside of the top, so there is no harsh light at night, just a comfortable ambient glow. They are touch powered, just tap to turn them on or off, and to cycle through 3 light settings. 2200k (warm white light), 2700k (soft white), and 3000k (natural white). You can long press the button to change brightness within a range of 5% - 100%. There is also a memory function to maintain this setting. They are equipped with an 1800mAh fast charging battery, which charges fully in about 2 hours. This provides 4-8 hours of use per light, depending on the brightness setting you choose. I’ve been using one on a side table, one in the basement, and one outside when we’re hanging out. The best part is you can just grab one and put it wherever you need it. They give off a nice light for the size, and I like that they’re waterproof so I’m not stressing if one ends up outside or gets splashed. Only small thing: the buttons/settings take a minute to get used to and I had to mess with it a little at first. Nothing crazy though. They held a good charge and lasted for what we needed them to.
