I've bought larger garment bags in an attempt to organize my closets and quickly realized that what I needed were several smaller bags; with the larger bags, I essentially have the same closet, just another barrier to get through to get to the things in it. I have several pets and I live in the desert Southwest with lots of dust storms throughout the year, so keeping my clothes free of dust and pet hair was my #1 goal. So far, these work wonders for that. The various lengths give me plenty of room for dresses, coats, and long skirts, and business pants that I hang with clips instead of folding over a hanger. I'm thinking of ordering another set for hanging up blankets and comforters, as vertical storage for them might be a better option than my current horizontal efforts. The material isn't super thick and it is breathable, so these probably won't protect your clothing from things like smoke smells, severe mold or mildew problems, or pests (or pets) that chew - but for everyday storage and protection, I consider them a good deal. Currently priced at ~$26 for three, that works out to just over $8 each, and (based on prior experience) I fully expect that with reasonable use and care these will last at least five to seven years (perhaps less if children are using them - the zippers are probably the weakest point), so figure $1.50 a year each to keep your clothes free of dust, lint, and pet hair.
