These dental tools are much sharper than the ones that I’ve been using. They come in simple plastic wrappings. There are no labels or instructions included, but if you’re using these tools for the first time, it’s best that you learn the proper way to use them beforehand. They’re great to help remove plaque and tartar between dental visits, but only when it’s used carefully and not too frequently. Improper use can harm your teeth a great deal. Having said that these tools work very well. With patience, floss, and a mirror, I was able to remove a bit of plaque that had built up between my teeth. Before and after using, I washed and sanitized the picks and scrapers with minimal effort. The picks have rubber covering the sharp edges, so make sure that you remove that first. One major con of this item was the lack of a storage case. For such sharp items that should be also be kept clean, it’s a great inconvenience to create your own storage. Overall, it’s a very solid product that I will be using regularly. Read more

I brush and floss my teeth daily and go for a cleaning every six months. I always ask the dental hygienist to focus extra on my top, front six teeth because a couple of weeks later they always feel like they have some build up on them. So I wanted to try this 3 piece stainless steel plaque remover set. I watched some videos first since this set does not come with directions and I don’t want to mess my teeth up. I think tooth pain is one of the worst pains, so I don’t want anything to happen. I worked slowly, had good lighting, and a magnifying mirror to help me out. I don’t want to do this too often since I don’t want to scrape any enamel off my teeth. And I will be interested if the dentist notices anything when I go back in October for my next checkup. While the set is nice, it doesn’t come with any storage so I would recommend getting some type of case for it since these instruments are sharp and you want to keep them clean. Even though they came in plastic that I think was sterile, I still washed them before using them and disinfected them when I was done. And I will be disinfecting them again every time before I use them. With dental care so expensive and a lot of insurance having poor or no dental care, getting a set might be a good idea. Read more
