Love these! Bought one bag to try them and then circled back to buy two more bags because we needed upstairs and downstairs balls and extras due to losing them under furniture. 2-year-old, 53lbs goldendoddle. Excellent for playing in the house. The balls bounce a little, but only just enough to be entertaining. They are soft, so don't damage anything or make noise on hard floors, walls, furniture. (Dog thumping around after them makes noise, obviously!) They are tennis ball size but softer, so fit well in her mouth without blocking her airway when she's prancing around with them. They withstand her chewing very well. She pulls bits off but never an amount that is concerning as has happened with other dryer balls. The oldest of the balls (3 months) are starting to loosen but are still safe. I haven't run them through the washing machine yet but have every faith that they'd be fine. Our biggest problem is loosing them under furniture and needing a flashlight to find them, especially the darker colors. We wish we could buy a bag of just white ones as they'd be easier to find. Pictures - the white ball is 3 months old. Brown ball pics were taken when we first got them. Read more

My dog goes crazy for these. Soft, fun and she KNOWS THEY ARE WOOL!!! Won't leave the box alone. She is a heavy chewer and she loves to rip them apart. Which I think helps her to get rid of added energy. So we play hide and seek with her and the ball for nose work and we throw it for her. And she seems to really enjoy it and get tired out from play time. They are durable, it takes her a while to get the ripping part started. Good product! Read more

I'll admit, I was unsure about these as dog toys. I figured, at the very least, if my dog didn't like them, then we could use them as dryer balls. They come in a cotton or muslin natural colored bag and you get 3 wool balls in natural colors. Immediately, I considered how natural wool balls would be difficult to see in the grass. The nice thing about tennis balls is that they are bright and easy to see. I was able to get it to fit in my tennis ball throwing stick, though the fit was tighter than a regular tennis ball, and it is lighter. But I gave it a try and was able to get it to release from the stick. My golden retriever puppy immediately took off after the ball and when he got to it, he kind of stopped to sniff it pretty thoroughly. Then he took possession of it and hid it under his body. I thought that was interesting, he really likes the smell. Wool has a very distinct animal smell and he seems to really enjoy it. After a few more tosses, he started to bring the ball back to me. Which was kind of a break-through for him, since he's still young and learning to fetch. It's easier on his soft mouth than a tennis ball ball is, and he really likes them. Having said all that, I still am unsure of the natural colors. They are very hard to see and it's easy to loose track of where you have thrown it. Also, my 5 year old has a hard time getting the wool ball to release from the throwing stick. So it being just slightly larger than a typical tennis ball is a little problematic. Four stars. In case you were not quite sure, as I wasn't when I ordered these, yes they are basically wool dryer balls. I thought they might have a rubber core or something similar, but they are 100% wool. They are very nice neutral colors, perfect for your boho theme, and they are handcrafted in Nepal. They are a natural, non-toxic alternative to the tennis balls we have tossed to our dogs for years, and of course bio-degradable eventually, unlike synthetic tennis balls. Unfortunately my dog will cause these to bio-degrade much faster (I mean she is a power chewer and these won't last a minute with her) so I'll be passing them on to my sister's pooch. But if you don't mind the price tag (which seems a little steep to me but I'm sure it's due to them being handmade, and also the branding is very cute) these are nice for fetch for dogs who aren't powerful chewers. Two paws up. Read more
