Great 12v Inverter; Offers A LOT of power; Can Charge MANY Devices
Item: YSOLX 300W 12V to 110V Car Power Inverter, with Dual USB-A 24W and USB-C 65W, Dual AC Car Plug Adapter Outlet Overall Review: I bought this small inverter for a recent road trip where I needed to work on my laptop in the car. I knew I already had one that worked well, but I just couldn't find it. (Time for a big organization session I guess.) When looking for a new one, I picked this option, even though it was more expensive than others, because it has 2 fast USB A and 2 fast USB C outlets in addition to 2 AC outlets. I especially liked knowing that, with a good cord, this device will charge my phone rapidly and can also run a tablet or small laptop. I also really liked the idea of the display showing my battery voltage, so I could make sure to keep an eye out not to drain my battery. The fact that all of this was in about the same size as my older inverter was surprising and a big plus. This can easily plug into a dash or middle console 12v and sit on the floor or center console without taking up too much space. This inverter worked PERFECTLY! There was no noticeable noise coming from the device, not even an audible fan sound. It worked exactly as needed to run my laptop, and keep charging my phone and even a friend's phone a little bit. The battery voltage display was excellent in this scenario because I was able to see how adding/removing each device was affecting the battery. When I wasn't using my laptop, this inverter was excellent to allow several people to charge their phones all at once. The one glitch is that the on/off button was accidentally pushed a couple of times, turning everything off, without us realizing it even though there are little blue bars that are lit when it's on. This is definitely a step up from my old inverter, which (if I ever find it) will now only be my backup for this or a loaner. Pros: - LOTS of outlets: 2 each of AC, USB A, USB C, so it could handle at least 6 devices at once. (More if you put a Multi USB brick in one of the AC outlets) - USB C output is strong enough, at 65 W to charge smaller laptops through a good C to C cord. - No noticeable fan noise. - Easily readable battery voltage display to help keep track of drain on battery and manage as needed. - On/Off switch to stop/start draw of all plugged in devices (and the screen) at once. This is especially good if you have this plugged into an "always on" 12v outlet in your vehicle. - The display and the lit blue bars are subdued, so they aren't overly bright and distracting during night driving. - At the price I paid ($24) it is a good (not great) value. Cons: - The on/off switch sometimes was accidentally pushed without us realizing. Because it is right in the middle of all the outlets, it was easy to bump when plugging in a USB or AC cord. The blue lights do turn off when the inverter is off, as does the display, but that didn't always get noticed right away. But I wouldn't want the blue bars to be any bigger. Just maybe a physical "click" feeling when the button is pushed. - There is no way to turn the display on and off so you can just check the battery voltage as needed. This is minor, but it occurred to me that that display was drawing a tiny bit of power as well. Read more
