I don't think this thumb support tape isn't limited to just thumbs. I've been using it successfully on my pointer finger. When I applied it, I copied the image from the listing and put the split piece on top, but I think you could probably make it go any direction that works best for you. I really like the additional light to mid level support it gives my achy fingers. It's a pretty good price too, so I have no complaints. Read more
My thumb has no cartilage left. I need support but sometimes I am just over wearing the brace, and other times I need to use my thumb to an extent (such as I am now typing on my laptop) that the brace does not allow so I go with K-tape for those times. I loved that these are cut specifically with the thumb in mind. I have a slimmer hand so the width is very nice for my thumb but it would be nice if it were just a little bit longer. I love how the top is split so I can comfortably wrap it around the joint for targeted support. The fabric feels nice and sturdy. They are easy to peel off the wax paper backing. Sadly, though the edges begin to peel away from my skin within a short time. I am applying it to a clean, dry hand but within an hour the edges of the tips are coming away from my skin. Overnight, the thicker bottom edge peeled up, assuming from contact with my bedsheets. Great concept but it doesn't seem to hold onto my skin. Read more
