A simple design that works. I use these as lightweight snow pants. With the elastic waist they easily slip over whatever pants I'm wearing. I was going to NY for the weekend and rain was in the forecast the day we’d be walking around the city. The size chart indicated I needed M but I ordered L. They fit perfectly over my pants, it rained hard, I stayed dry. Good product for occasional use but I can see how they won’t hold up for frequent use. They did exactly what I needed them to do. Got these for a trip to Alaska. They will not last for years, but were 100% perfect for what I wanted. We knew we were going on several hikes, and the the weather was unpredictable. Well, the first day it poured, and we were all warm and dry using these on a 8 mile round trip walk. They are not a heavy, durable material, so I wouldn't expect them to last more than 5 or 10 such outings, but they are extremely light weight, and pack down into a very small stuff sack. One other potential downside is that the waist is elastic with no draw string, so the only thing that holds them up is the stretchy waist. Wasn't a problem for us, but I could see how an overside pair could slip off ones waist, or maybe also if the pockets were full with a phone or other gear. But anyway, for less than a hundred bucks, I got 3 pairs and they worked great for us paired with the rain coats that we already had. Arrived on time in 2 days, and perfect for what i wanted.
