This item is very firm and fresh. I’ve never seen anything contrary in it. Unlike other protein sources, this product has never disappointed me. They’re easy to slice and bake, so I don’t have to deal with them rotting in a few days. They remain firm in soups also, which is very filling, healthy and tasty, and serves perfectly as a vegetarian meal. It also makes for a quick meal in a variety of ways, thereby maintaining a healthy diet and maintaining good nutritional balance. Read more
This tofu is really good! The extra firm texture holds up well in stir-fries and grilling, and it absorbs marinades nicely. It's a versatile ingredient for both savory and sweet dishes. I appreciate that it's organic and non-GMO, which is a big plus. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is that it can sometimes be a bit crumbly when sliced thin. Otherwise, it's a solid choice for tofu lovers! Read more

One of the best extra firm tofus to cook with. Let me start by saying I’m a very inexperienced tofu person. However in my brief experience of being inexperienced I have tried them all. Now, assuming you’ve followed along so far the reason I feel I’m inexperienced is this. I have a child who is the actual vegetarian but has sensory issues, so they are bothered by mushy things. Then I have my other half who is not a vegetarian but also bothered by mushy things, taste, and pretty much everything. This tofu required almost no draining. It literally was open package - I used one paper towel on each side and that was it. Prep time - EASY!! Take out paper towel and use 2 minutes!! I marinated it a few times in the full cube, a few times just brushed it on, I’ve also tried seasoning strips, or just in the pan. Each time everyone has fully enjoyed it. The dishes have been a green tofu chile, tofu teriyaki and green beans and vegetable lo-mein, and tofu curry with sesame sauce in brown rice. In all of the above dishes the tofu was cooked in the dish. It never, got too soft, the stability of the pieces stayed in a cube, and they didn’t crumble. I was very happy with that and so was my family. It’s nice that I can keep the packages in the fridge for weeks on end as they stay fresh for usually over a month. That’s another big plus. And the protein content is also consistent or higher than some of the others. I think the biggest one for my family is the consistency of the tofu and it staying in one piece. It wasn’t served like mozzarella cheese even though I cooked it in my dish. Hope this helps other starter tofu cookers or anyone looking for a new firm tofu. Read more
