I know I should use these veggies for more official purposes, but they are my go-to for when I'm hungry and want something quick and healthy. I just heat them on high with a little water at the bottom of the pot and season them with my all-purpose salt/garlic powder/white pepper blend. Scoop them in a bowl and add a splash of olive oil or a knot of butter and voila, clean food that's quick and easy. Even the pot is easy to clean. I also add small amounts of different salad dressings and sauces to try them out, plus sometimes dried onions (they rehydrate well during the heating process), but all you really need is the basics and these are yummy. Great for soups, too!!! I use them for miso soup, but these would be amazing in a chowder!!! I haven't done it yet, but I will use these for a sour-cream /cream-cheese /ranch type of dip/topping for crackers or butter-leaf lettuce pieces. I haven't done it yet either, but these of course would be superb in fried rice. I can see them also in a Chinese-style omelet with the bean sprouts and sliced onions. These are super ubiquitous for different recipes, and such a great snack that hits the spot when you want something quick, but substantial, too. These are a must-have for every kitchen and I highly recommend!! Read more

Except for the ever-versatile frozen peas, I don't buy frozen vegetables. But lately, my workload has left little time for home cooking, and I was beginning to worry about my recent low vegetable intake. So I thought I'd try these. Firstly, unlike a lot of other frozen vegetables, they're weren't full of water that had frozen into a solid clump, so when I poured them out, they were individual pieces, and the color was so vibrant, they looked like jewels. They were surprisingly fresh and flavorful, and even after heating, they retained their bright color. My microwave is supposedly only 700 watts, but it seems to be more powerful, because suggested heating times for lower power microwaves is always a bit too long for my model. Whether it's really only 700 watts or not, heating the vegetables on high for 7-9 minutes, per the instructions, was too much. I heated them for eight minutes, stopping and stirring them after the first four minutes. Next time I'll try six minutes total, which should be perfect. But even though they were a bit overcooked the first time I tried them, they were still very tasty. Normally, my choice of veg would be organic broccoli, Brussels sprouts, spinach, chard, or asparagus, but when I'm short on time or just feeling lazy, the 365 organic mixed vegetables will help me feel a bit less unhealthy and much more virtuous. I'll be sure to always have my freezer stocked with these vegetables, and I hope the quality will continue to be as good as the first bag. Read more

The vegetables are fresh and good for adding to soups, rice, or other dishes. They're okay, also, as a quick side dish. The price is okay though I wish they also came in a larger bag size. That said, I go through the smaller bags so quickly that they never become vegetable ice blocks the way a larger bag might. And, happily for my family, they do not include lima beans, which so many frozen veg combos include but which are often mealy or squishy when restored from frozen state. Not having those beans is a big plus for us. Read more
