Absolutely No Texture or Flavor

J. DuránMarch 13, 2025

As a bacon lover, I found this bacon to be bland and it doesn't crisp up. It ends up being too rubbery. If you're okay with that, then you will be pleased. Read more

I decided plain bacon would be a good idea for a change. Smoked and flavored bacon hids the real taste. Read more

Great value for hungry kids

I tried this bacon to see if it was just as good as Applegate uncured bacon since the Applegate brand has gotten so insanely expensive. Overall, I would say that the Whole Foods brand is a great quality and has a good taste, but the smell of it cooking and the flavor just seem a little bit off compared to Applegate. For the price difference I think it’s a great value alternative. If you have multiple children eating lots of bacon for weekend breakfasts. It’s got a good balance of salty, savory and sweet flavor and cooks up with a nice crunchiness. you get substantially more in a pack than with Applegate. Read more

Simple Ingredients, Outstanding Bacon

John BookOctober 16, 2024

What immediately sets this bacon apart is its clean ingredient list—no nitrates, no nitrites, and no unnecessary additives. Just pork, water, sea salt, and cane sugar. That’s it. In a world where processed meats often come with long, hard-to-pronounce ingredient lists, this simplicity is refreshing and reassuring. The flavor is where it truly shines. The salt level is perfectly balanced: noticeable enough to enhance the natural richness of the pork, but never overpowering or harsh. You can really taste the difference compared to heavily salted or overly cured varieties. Because it’s uncured bacon, the flavor feels more natural, and the texture cooks up beautifully—crispy edges with tender, flavorful bites. This has quickly become my go-to bacon. Whether used for breakfast, sandwiches, or adding depth to recipes, it consistently delivers exceptional taste without any “funny stuff” getting in the way. If you appreciate clean ingredients and well-crafted flavor, you’re going to love this bacon. Read more
