Non-toxic, beautifully scented, well-priced and effective
This is my favorite dish soap of all time. We used to use Ajax and later Dawn, but we’ve been trying to switch to more environmentally friendly and non-toxic household products. First off, I have to say it didn’t always sud as much as other dish detergents but I realized it was because of the sponges I’d been using. If you really want a lot of suds, choose a heavy densely packed sponge. I had a walnut shell sponge but it was very light and the detergent didn’t seem to sud as much until I bought my new sponges, also walnut shell sponges but from a different brand. A little of this detergent goes a long way. And it is so good that I’ve use it to clean bathrooms and degrease the ovens. Keep in mind it is plant-based so it will not give you the same effect as a Dawn, Palmolive or Ajax super degreaser. That will require some extras like a lemon juice and baking soda soak on your greasier pots and pans. But for someone looking to get something inexpensive and those like me doing the switch, this is more than perfect. I personally prefer this detergent to my old Ajax and Dawn. The fact that it is non-toxic and plant-based is simply a bonus. The scent is amazing. It’s not overpowering but it’s still strong enough to be pleasant. My favorite scent so far is this grapefruit but the lemon scent is also nice. The container is easily recyclable. Read more
