I give this 5 starts but.....

Okay, I own almost everything that 3D Connexion makes. I started with the small, little Space Mouse wireless. I liked it so much I bought the uber expensive Enterprise addition with a CAD mouse. The CAD mouse ultimately died and I didn't replace it. Because I use two different computers for my CAD work I bought (as an upgrade from the Space Mouse) a Space Mouse Wireless Pro. I use all of these devices exclusively with Fusion 360. They are LIFE SAVERS and will cut your work time in half. Now for the negatives....Both the little Space Mouse and Space Mouse Pro SEEM to behave differently. I cannot seem to configure either to match the Enterprise version in terms of rotate and zoom functionality. The Enterprise is 100% intuitive with little customization out of the box. The other two seem to have some different method of control that, no matter how I configure them (and I've matched the configuration between all three feature-for-feature) they do not perform in exactly the same manner. It's a bit strange. My next, and by FAR the bigger complaint is that they are difficult to get working with Apple silicon Macs. There is a tricky security approval process that can cause all kinds of headaches. Each time Apple updates their OS I cringe at the thought of trying to possibly reconfigure these mice. There are a lot of similar complaints on the 3D Connexion forums. The manufacturer is always behind the proverbial eight ball when it comes to Apple support. When you purchase an input device, especially anything that connect to an Apple, you always expect really good plug-and-play compatibility. Still, for the negatives, I couldn't live without these devices for use with Fusion 360. My biggest regret is that I did not go ahead and spend another $100 to buy a second Enterprise model. Finally, these product are VERY well constructed and quite ergonomic. Even the tiny Space Mouse wireless is a heavy little chunk of steel that is insanely heavy for the size. These are not some sort of plastic, Chinesium junk. Read more

Love this thing

Though not strictly necessary, this is a big quality of life upgrade. This makes my CAD and CAM work so much more enjoyable. I feel more connected to my designs so the work flows more smoothly. Highly recommend. Read more

Makes you super productive when you have to do 3D work.

Amazing for 3d work. It took a while to really get the hang of it, but once I did it was amazing and I just couldn't stop working with it. And then I had to figure out how to use it with Blender and that was easy to set up. All in all, a really pleasant experience. The only caveat is how expensive this is, and that's why I'm knocking off a star of the full review. Read more

Great for 3D Modeling

Has a bit of a steep learning curve, but it works well once you figure it out. Seems strong and well built. Feels sturdy. Has lots of buttons that make 3D modeling easier. Use with Fusion 360 on a MacBook without issue. Would recommend if you are ready to move on from just a standard mouse to something that works in 3 dimensions. Read more

Disappointing Product and Customer Service Experience

I recently purchased the 3D Connexion Wireless SpaceMouse through Amazon, and unfortunately, it has been nothing but trouble. The SpaceMouse constantly loses connectivity, making it practically unusable for the tasks I bought it for. Frustrated, I tried reaching out to 3D Connexion's customer service. After about 10 attempts, I was met with the same message each time: "No one is available, try again later or leave a voice message." I would think for the price they are charging for their products, they could at least provide support within the same day—not the two to three days they’re currently offering. If I’m spending this much on a premium product, I expect premium support to go with it. 3D Connexion supports the people who are spending their money with your company! I can’t recommend this product until they improve their customer service and resolve their hardware issues. I'M DISAPPOINTED!!! Read more
