The sticky tape on the wind deflector on the hood of my truck stopped sticking. The deflector was flopping while traveling with the possibility of damaging the paint. I researched some double sided tapes and the 3M stood as a positive. I remover the old tape and cleaned both surfaces. After I applied the 3M Double Sided HD Mounting tape I let it cure overnight. This tape is great -I have used it to reattach body trim on vehicles. I have also used it outdoors for hanging aluminum signs on my pole barns and on exterior doors in spots where I did not want to drill holes. I have used this type of 3M tape for years and have never had anything come loose. I will often buy more inexpensive generic equivalents of items, but for a strong double sided tape like this I will only buy 3M because it has never let me down. Read more

I love how sturdy this 3M VHB heavy-duty tape is when it’s fresh, it holds flawlessly and blends right in, making installations effortless and clean. But after about four months, the adhesion noticeably weakened, and some items started coming loose. Now I know it needs surface prep and curing time to perform best, but buyers should be aware it’s not a permanent, forever solution especially in warm or exposed areas. I still rate it 4 stars because of the excellent initial performance and versatility but you’ll want to treat it like a semi-permanent adhesive, not a lifetime guarantee. Read more

Love it! Did what I needed it to do. I had ordered a doorbell cover, and the item did not come with the correct 2-sided tape to stick on outdoors. So I bought this. Made it so much easier for me to stick my doorbell cover without having to drill holes in my house. Plus so much better quality then the tape the doorbell cover came with. Once again 3M adhesive is of the best if not THE best go to adhesive product. I use these to hold my adt sensor in place vs glue. Glue requires time to set but 3M adhesive doesn't. Stick peel and stick. Please these are clay like so you can stretch it to fit. Highly recommend Read more
