Yep! You read the title right! I used to work in Manufacturing and I noticed these earplugs when I would take them out from a work day would usually pull out a chunk of ear wax with it! It was like night and day!!! My guess is it traps the heat in your ears so the wax gets a little melty and sticks to the foam, then the foam expands to collect ear wax from all sides, as the ear wax settles you can painlessly remove ear wax. It works VERY well so I only have to do it like 1 time every 2 months but if you produce a lot of ear wax I would suggest doing so more frequently. It does not hurt your ears (so fits amazing) this brand of ear plug has the best quality! Theres no individual bagged ear couple's so its better in my opinion because I and few other use it unlike in a manufacturing environment though I guess a machine could be used to give 2 plugs at a time but I just use the container. I also GOT THIS WHEN IT WAS ON SALE!!! They last a LONG time! Atleast when myself and my brother use it. He tends to use it to help him sleep, cuts the noise, and helps his sleep quality! If you need them for sleep, some peace and quiet, or like me to get earwax outta your ears LOOK NO FURTHER!!! I worked in a printing plant for 18 years. We were required to use hearing protection in the noisy areas. Over the years we went through many different brands and styles of ear plugs. I bought and tried most of the brands at home as well in my woodshop, while mowing lawn and other tasks. In my humble ratings, these 3M E-A-R soft plugs turned out to be the best. I tried most of the brands at home as well. Some other brands block the same dB rating but let in more of the lower frequencies. For instance, when using a lawn mower, the deep thump, thump, thump of the engine would beat into my ears. These knock down the loud sound across the spectrum better than most others. Most of the time I can still listen to what another person was saying over the noise. I do have to listen a little harder to them yet can make out what they say. I like these ear plugs very much. Before I bought them, I tried the current plug version from other manufacturers. In the end, these won out and I use them exclusively. Read more
