Thank heavens these brushes make quick work of my rust problem. Without my knowledge I have 3 cast iron figures that were allowed to get wet then set for months to allow rust to cover all of them. These items were given to me by my family members who are no longer with us so they are important to me. I started with a solid rust covered dog approximately 7x4 but it is a 3D item. It took about 20 minutes of brushing before I have 90%of rust off. I just stopped so I could take care of other chores. They are easy to hold and a good size for most users. I have no complaints with bristles falling out but I was only using on rust….not paint, concrete, brake dust or gunked up axle grease or other items they are not meant to remove. This is one of those tools you didn’t know you needed in your life. I got them to clean the bottoms of boots to get gravel and stones out of. I needed something a little stronger than a toothbrush. Now I just find all kinds of reasons to use them. Today I cleaned the grates on the bottom of my bird feeder. Perfect for tight spaces and it’s more substantial than a toothbrush.
