Laundry bags are a gamechanger for keeping small wearables, like underwear or socks, together while in the wash. (If you use several pairs of socks that are all the exact same, this works even better.) Use one to put your "need to wash" X (socks, intimate wear, other) in and when it's time, zip it up, wash, and dry. Ta-da!: There you have your bag of "clean" X. Use a new bag for the next "need to wash" X while continuing to use the "clean" X until empty (or until "need to wash" becomes "clean"; then dump the old "clean" to the new "clean" and use the "old" bag as the new "need to wash" bag). Basically, pair them up (4 pack = 2 pairs) and you have a working system that makes your laundry chores so* much easier. No more needing to find* X from a pile of laundry. Compared to my previous laundry bag, this one has a finer, more closely woven mesh which makes it more structured, so it is suitable for storage as shown in the listing pictures; You can even keep some clothes together as a set. Mind you, the bags are not top-quality -- no ykk zippers here -- , but it is all the quality it needs to be to do it's job. One of my previous laundry bags (with the loose-weave / large-holes) had a zipper break after a time of use (1-2 years, I estimate), so that is my top concern for this in terms of quality, but only time will tell. The bag construction is good, and the sizing is perfect for 2-3 small items (bras, etc) or 1 medium item. The fine/small mesh does not allow items like bra hooks to get caught on the bag and twisted up in the wash. It does not seem to inhibit water flow, and everything comes out perfectly clean. The zipper runs perfectly smooth and has a protective pouch to slide it into during wash. It also slides out of the pouch easily since there is still a small piece of the pull still exposed to grab onto without having to dig it out. The quality and construction seem good. I like that the zipper pull/tag is attached to the actual zipping piece like a normal zipper (1-piece, full circle ring attaching it to the zipping part, instead of 2-piece clamp) that should allow it to stay firmly attached not fall off since it can't open up. The last bags I had (different brand) attached differently, with a 2-piece clamp holding the pull on the zipping part, and all of the pulls separated and fell off in the wash. I'm not sure if that is a common design or I if I just bought the wrong bags last time, but this design seems much better to me. They've only been used a couple times so far, but so far have held up very well in the wash. If there is any future issues, I will update the review later. Read more
I have been thinking about getting a mesh laundry bag to help protect my delicates for many years. But, as most of us do, just keep doing what you are doing. If it works, don't worry about it. Well, this isn't a matter of you can't wash your delicates with your regular clothes. It's more a matter of, can I do it in a better way that will better protect my clothing. The answer here is "Yes"! If I could tell you how many times the little hooks on my bra closures undid themselves in the wash and then "grabbed" onto another piece of clothing, usually an expensive crocheted or lace item, and ruined an otherwise perfectly good garments, it would be "many". Well, I'm now rethinking whether I should have waited this long before getting a simple, inexpensive mesh laundry bag. No, I don't have to think about it! I should have gotten this a long time ago. My clothes are now protected from clips and clasps, as well as velcro and pull cords with metal balls on the ends. I can even put my slippers or sneakers in these bags and not worry about the possibilities of disaster. The mesh material is really strong. The zipper is well designed with a small tunnel of fabric that hides the zipper pull. No detail was overlooked. These bags are incredibly well constructed and will help to protect and prolong the life of your garments. Read more
