The tiered design fits my ears much better than the typical single tips, which made them more comfortable and actually stay securely in my ears. I unfortunately ordered the wrong size for my earbuds, which I think slightly affected the sound quality, but it’s probably fine when used with the correct size earbuds. I could still hear everything clearly, it was just very slightly muffled. If you’re looking for 100% noise cancellation, I didn’t find them effective in that way. They definitely blocked enough noise to hear the music clearly, but I could still vaguely hear other sounds around me, so they won’t work as well as earplugs or over-ear headphones for that purpose. My only complaint is that the longer profile of the tips makes the earbuds stick out of my ears further, which means they’re not great for sleep.
