Perfect for my needs

DonnaAnnFebruary 8, 2023✓ Verified purchase

Update: Do not wait to secure it. I didn't tie mine down (just had some heavy pot in each corner in the front( and a huge gust of wind blew it over from the top. Knocked all my little baskets with seedlings out and I had a huge mess to sort through. My mini walk-in greenhouse arrived pretty quickly. The instructions are just a diagram, and are very, very poor. I had to watch a U-tube video on how to assemble. The problem with that was that my part #'s and the ones in the video didn't match so I had to take a few things apart then put them back together until I figured out where my part #'s went. Assembly took me longer than it should have, but was actually pretty easy once I figured things out. I gave 2 stars for Assembly because of the lack of clear instructions and my having to find a U-tube video to put it together. A couple things I do not like: The metal shelves. I don't like way the shelves attach with crappy little string. I feel like the knots will start to unravel. I do plan on removing that and using some twist ties or something. Another thing I do not like is that the ribbons to close the "door" are not long enough for my liking. But I'll manage. I DO like that it fits absolutely perfectly in the spot I bought it for. My plan is to start a bunch of flower seedlings. I'm hoping that they don't get too hot during the day and too cool at night. I may be starting them too soon so it may happen that it's still too cold at night in Alabama, but I have plenty of seeds so I'm going to go ahead and try for an early start. I still need to secure it to my deck, but I do think I will like it. I still gave 5 stars even though the instructions were very poor and I don't like the string on the shelving or the short ribbon on the door because I can or have worked around those issues. I love the size and the design. I plan on putting a 5 tier metal, rolling shelving unit inside to add much more space. The poles are thin so I'm not sure how it will hold up against Spring storms and winds, but I can move it against the house if necessary. Once I take the plastic off I plan on using E6000 glue on all of the poles and connectors. For under $50, including shipping, I think this will work perfectly for my needs. 👍 Read more

Great for temporary start up

Southern NaturalOctober 16, 2022✓ Verified purchase

I purchased this greenhouse in 2021. Shipping was good. Product arrived in a reasonable amount of time and was well packaged. I used it to overwinter my outdoor potted plants. It remained under my carport throughout the winter months. It worked great in this setting, since it was shielded for strong winds. The assembly is not difficult, but not easy. I have to admit the first time it was a bit confusing. The instructions are not clear. It helped me to sort the connectors and rods into individual stacks by size and letter. Be careful to locate the letter on the connectors and keep them grouped together. Using one connector in the wrong location can throw the entire frame off. Ask me how I know. Overall sturdiness of the parts is pretty good. This is a PORTABLE greenhouse. It worked great under shelter of my carport. Using it in an open space will require some serous anchoring. The ground staples and string that comes with it are not sufficient. Also the I suggest using stronger zip ties to secure the shelves. I found this out the hard way. I attempted to use this greenhouse again in the spring of this year for seed starting. I have relocated and no longer have a covered carport. I did what I knew was not the best, but figured it was sufficient anchoring. Unfortunately it did not hold up to a windy day. I think it may have been more of the fact I did not zip the door closed and/or maybe the top rods were not securely attached. I also had not secured the shelves. It appeared the wind was able to get inside with through the door open. The bottom section remained in place, but the top rod was loose. I am not giving up! This thing is pretty durable and great for a tight budget gardener like myself. I have plans to assemble this greenhouse again for the winter. This time I am preparing to securely anchor it and monitor it closely each day. Thanks for providing a decent quality product at an affordable price! I would recommend this greenhouse to my family & friends. Read more

Great greenhouse. But won't last in the sun

Courtney ClarkFebruary 14, 2020✓ Verified purchase

Update: 9 months in and the sun has destroyed the tarp. So has the wind. Pictures show that they plastic is gone from the gaps due to sun damage. Exactly what I needed. I'm a beginner when it comes to greenhouses and growing. I wanted to start early and plant some things indoors until the cold passes and Spring hits North Texas. The packaging: Freaking amazing. Everything was in it's own labeled bag and very neat to the eyes. I loved that. Each and every piece has a raised marking on it telling you the number/letter of the piece. The joints are all together in one bag, so I suggest sorting and separating them before you start. There are 2 or 3 of them that may look like the other joints, but have a slight modification in the angle...watch out for these tricky ones! They are specifically for a certain piece of the set up, but do have their own separate lettering mark. Set up: Ummm, basically effortless. The most intricate part is making sure that you use the right joints in the right places. Sturdiness: The framing system itself is super sturdy. The shelves are a different story. The thin wire shelves are a bit flimsy and slide/knock off easily. I tied them to the poles in each corner with twine (others have used zip ties). I'm probably going to end up cutting some scrap wood to place on the shelves so I have a flat and sturdy surface. I only set up half of it and didn't use the tarp for obvious reasons. When spring time comes, I will set the entire unit up with the tarp on it, out in the back yard. Or who knows, I might just keep it how it is!?!? I am enjoying having them in the house for now. Will update this when/if I decide to set the whole thing up. Until then, just having like this was well worth the money spent. Read more
