I buy this dock for my new Mac mini and I feel happy. It connect easy, just one cable, and all work. The size is perfect, same shape like the Mac, so it look like one piece, very clean on desk. I put one NVMe inside, it run fast and I move big file no problem. The aluminum body feel strong, not cheap plastic, and also it help cool, not so hot when I use long time. I use mouse, keyboard and headphone with it, all connect good, no problem. Before I worry it maybe noisy or get hot, but really it is ok, just little warm only. Easy to set up, I just open bottom and install SSD, finish in 2 minute. For me it is better than use separate hub and SSD box, now everything is together and save space. Quality is good, durable, and I think I will use long time. Read more
I got the 40Gbps Aluminum Hub & Stand for my new M4 Mac Mini, and it’s honestly a perfect companion. The build quality feels premium, the aluminum matches the Mac Mini’s finish perfectly, so it looks like one unified piece. The extra ports are super handy, that makes quick connections so much easier. Data transfer speeds are excellent. I tested large files, and it handled them effortlessly with my 1TB SSD. Super clean, one cable attached and it's done. Overall, it’s both stylish, perfect size and functional, a must-have accessory if you want to expand ports and memory. Read more
Basically delivers what it promises. I get 3.12-2.7 read write speeds to my installed SSD. Looks good supporting the Mac mini and does not seem to interfere with the wifi reception. Disappointed that the Mac slides around on top instead of sitting securely so I have to constantly re align them, which seems to defeat the purpose of the stand. Unless you really want your Mac mini on a perch, there are probably better solutions for expanding memory and adding ports like some of the newer Thunderbolt 4 docking stations. Might cost more but will give more functionality. That's just my opinion. Read more

For anyone debating between this particular hub vs others, here are my thoughts: 1-sided vs 2 sides ports: Many alternatives offer more ports than this one, but it really comes down to aesthetics vs. functionality. How many ports do you actually use on a daily basis? Personally, while I’d appreciate having more USB-C ports and perhaps HDMI or DisplayPort options, the only port I truly need is a single USB-A. I like that all the ports are on one side—it looks cleaner and complements Apple’s minimalist design. Without all the extra ports, the hub is slightly thinner than the alternatives, which looks nicer, IMO. Build quality I’ve only had this for a week, and so far it’s been working perfectly. That said, take my experience with a grain of salt since my testing period has been short. I’ve seen some reviews mention overheating issues, but I haven’t encountered any—perhaps because I haven’t installed an SSD. For those considering purchasing this to increase storage capacity, compare the USB-C transfer speed of this one with any alternatives on your list. Read more

Seem fine for speed and connectivity, but gets HOT! Was afraid it was going to cook my MacMini, so now I have an extra item taking up space on my desk, instead of using them stacked as expected. Read more

Arrived in great shape, looks slick, and runs silently. My usb A mouse/keyboard worked great and the crucial nvme drive mounted and formatted smoothly. Unfortunately as I started moving media files over after a few hundred mb I got an error - the drive had disconnected. Mouse still working. Shutdown, checked and reset the nvme, started back transfering and same issue. Left the error sitting for a bit and the drive remounted itself. I restarted the transfer and got a few more gb over and error happened again. Rinse repeat, was able finish transferring~1/2 TB (dial/controller does run fast!), but just leaving the system idle for several hours had a stack of dozens of disconnect errors. Popped the nvme into a different (competitors) case and been using for two days without issue. The other case doesn't look as slick, but I can't be dealing with a buggy drive controller. On its way back to JeffB. Read more
