This shop light was lightweight and very easy to install, but still feels sturdy and well made for the price point. We installed it over a tool chest/workbench area, and the brightness was immediately impressive. The amount of light it puts out is excellent and more than sufficient for detailed work. The cord is on the shorter side, but it’s a solid, good-quality cord, and using an extension cord solves that easily. That wasn’t an issue for us. One thing we really liked is the versatility. My husband mentioned that adding a magnetic strip would make it a great option for working on a car, since it could be temporarily mounted where light is needed. The design makes it easy to imagine multiple uses beyond a fixed installation. Overall, this light looks like good quality, performs extremely well, and feels like it should cost more than it does. I ordered this to put under cabinets over a work area, but the light is much too bright for my intended use. If it would have come with a dimming function, I'd have loved it, but its brightness cannot be adjusted. It is either on or off. My photo shows how bright this light is. The light bar is the only light source in a completely dark and windowless bath. It comes with brackets to mount and angle the light and a 6 foot cord with the on/off switch. The switch is located near the "plug in" section of the cord. It would have been more convenient placed closer to, or on the lighting unit itself. Overall, the unit is very lightweight and feels cheap. But it does put out a lot of light. The light color is a cold white, in range with the 600K claims. Would I buy it again? Probably not. For a true "shop light" it should be longer and put out even more light. The cord is too short to really hang it close to a ceiling, and the power button is in the wrong location on the cord. It would have been fine for under cabinet lighting, but the inability to dim the light makes it too bright for that use. This is a decent product for the price, but I find it lacking for any true purpose I could use it for. Read more

This little light bar packs a big punch at the right price! We were a little confused at first because it came in a box labeled black light bar, but it really was the shop light we had requested. I do not recommend looking directly at this light! You wont be able to see right for a few minutes if you do. We got this because it is a powerful light that is easily moved around when needed. I cannot believe how bright this thing shines. It looks so simple but it really lights up a large area without a problem. My boyfriend had it under the hood of a car already and I will use it when cutting rocks on the wetsaw. I noticed that the power cord is longer than most similar lights and I appreciate that extra room to move. We are not going to permanently install it yet because we want to see where it works best first. There are screws provided along with instructions on how to hang it. I needed more light over a small band-saw in my shop and this fit in great. Its mounted on the ceiling about 4' from the saw's table and doesn't throw shadows too bad as its diffused (good thing). The light output is a bright white (6000k) color to see detail. Simple assembly & install. The hdwr included was too long for my situation, but it'll be repurposed 😎 Per the instructions & per my experience, it can get pretty toasty though. The included pamphlet says the surface of the lamp body has a max temp of up to 180 degrees F when working. That seems pretty high & I'll have to keep an eye out to make sure the plastic housing can take it. That should be no problem with plenty of space where its mounted. The corded on/off switch makes this handy to use, simply find an outlet and all is good. Read more
