Solid 5 stars from me. This NVME M.2 mounting kit basically solved all my “missing screw” problems in one shot. Lots of different standoffs and tiny screws, all sorted in a small box that actually closes well. Everything fit my motherboard and drives with no weird threads or wobble. I’ve already used it on two builds and still have plenty left. Way cheaper and easier than hunting for single screws at a local shop. Read more

Revised review- turns out that SSD I installed is overheating. So I ended up installing a heat sink I had from a different drive, and with that configuration I actually needed one of those stand offs and washer, so it actually saved the day. The same type that stripped before, held this time, and the SSD is running just fine. So 4 stars, glad I had this kit on hand. Not really what I was expecting or wanted. Not completely useless as I can still make them work if I cobble something together. Tried to use one of the standoffs and the threaded section stripped out so bad I had to fight to get it off of my board. Fortunately the m.2 port mounting hole wasn’t damaged. Maybe that’s intentional, but it didn’t help me at all. They didn’t have the size I actually needed. Just the size that threads into your board, not the existing mounts your board should already have, which is what I needed. Unfortunately all brands do their own thing, so it’s not easy to predict what I might need in the future. So I was able to make it work. One thing that is helpful is the included plastic washers, if they weren’t included I wouldn’t have been able to use it. But I would take a few more minutes to figure out exactly what you’re buying and not just go by the listings pictures and one review.
