This table is drop dead gorgeous and the doors work just fine. The only problem is with the instruction manual. It has you attach the base to the pedestal shelf first and then instructs you to install the decorative pedestal surround and doors followed by the table top support box. DO NOT follow the instruction manual as it is written. When you come to the step telling you to attach the pedestal base to the pedestal box skip that step. You need to install the pedestal box to the table top support box, turn it upside down, then install the grooved slats and doors around the pedestal, then attach the round pedestal base. We tried following the instructions and fought with it for 3 hours until we figured out there was a better sequence to put this table together. The grooves on the table top box are deeper than the ones in the pedestal base and they will hold the decorative slats and doors in place better than the base does which has more narrow grooves. The table is well made and the hardware fits perfectly. Only problem is the instruction manual is out of order. You put your table together the way I said to above and you will save yourself a lot of time, fatigue, and frustration. The table is perfect but someone really needs to redo that instruction manual. I really like this, it's very pretty and feels really heavy/sturdy. However, when the table has the extension/leaf installed and locked, the ends seem to be flexy and look weak. If a person puts hands on it to stand up, you see it give some. We had a lot of traffic for thanksgiving and it didn't brake or anything, but I'm keeping an eye on it. Also, I got really frustrated installing the doors and the trim around the round base. I get one piece lined up and the other end would pop out of line. 🫠😵‍💫 That took the longest of the assembly and I did do it alone. Otherwise, it's beautiful, the cabinet base is great for extra storage, and we comfortably put 8 people around it for games! Read more

One of the easiest pieces of furniture I've put together! I absolutely love the look of it in my dining room, and the expandable feature may be the best part aside from all of the hidden storage! Each piece we assembled looks great and feels more sturdy than half of my other large furniture items! The under table storage hold so much more than I thought it would! It's become the hideout for my water bottles and hidden presents. The table even features MORE storage when you pull it apart, not as much but definitely room for some plates, bowls or smaller items. After going to countless in-person stores looking for a table we settled on this one which we were a littleeee sketched out by being from Amazon, but we don't regret it at all!! Read more

I have to admit it looks beautiful but had defective/damaged pieces. I did try to return but was told it needs to be disembled and in original box. I explained i cut box open and tore some carton. A rep said it would not be refunded. It was such a hassle so decided to keep. Some of broken pieces cannot be seen but are there. The base was peeled off. What started off to be a breeze with building I was mistaken the minute it was time to add the doors! It’s nearly impossible to snap in board as they were not made to curve and caused chilling of the wood when trying to align it. I’m so disappointed I wanted this table for song long I even unscrewed everything thinking I built it wrong but no there’s no way this aligns correctly and yes I had an extra hand helping me!!
