Decent price, better for ambience than for use as a light source. I actually use my outdoor lights indoors as a light source in my craft room... It gives it a whimsical wonderland feel. I have been switching out bulbs as the original ones died or where I need better lighting. These bulbs (on right in photo) are dimmer than the original bulbs my strand came with (not pictured). They are much dimmer than my LED bulbs (seen on left in photo). They put out almost no light. They do look pretty, just not great for my use. I need light. Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars These S14 LED bulbs are perfect, bright, warm, and actually survive my backyard chaos Reviewed in the United States on November 29, 2025 I have three 48-ft runs of commercial-grade string lights across my patio and pergola (about 75 sockets total). Every spring the cheap plastic “shatterproof” bulbs from the big box stores start cracking, flickering, or just randomly dying. This year I replaced every single bulb with this 28-pack of warm-white S14 LEDs and it’s the best lighting decision I’ve made in years. Why they’re a winner True warm white (2700K) — looks exactly like old incandescent Edison bulbs, no cheap blue tint. Plenty bright (about 60–70 watt incandescent equivalent each) but still cozy, not blinding. My whole backyard is perfectly lit for dinners and still looks romantic. Actually shatterproof — my kid has nailed two of them with a soccer ball and one took a direct hit from a fallen branch in a storm. Zero cracks, still burning strong. Zero failures in 6 months — not a single dead bulb out of the 28, even after weeks of rain, 100°F+ Texas summer, and nights down to 28°F. Power & money savings Whole 48-ft strand with 25 bulbs now pulls less than 30 watts total. My electric bill thanks me, and I’m not tripping breakers when I run the patio heater at the same time. Pro tips They’re plastic, not glass, so they’re lighter on the sockets — no more sagging lines. Fit perfectly in every commercial C9/E26 socket I own (Enbrighten, Brightown, Addlon, etc.). Only “con” 28 bulbs is an awkward number — I needed 75 and had to buy three packs, so now I have a nice lifetime supply of spares. Bottom line: if you’re still burning through $2 glass bulbs every season, just spend the money on these once and be done. I used these bulbs to replace ones that I’ve had for a couple of years. In my picture the old one is on the right while the new one is on the left. I like how the new bulbs have a more old time look to the filament. I also like how the new bulbs are a plastic that won’t break like some of my old glass ones. I would purchase these bulbs again.
