The media could not be loaded. These dental trays are inexpensive, and I'm rating them in relation to the cost. Are they as good as the ones I got from the orthodontist or dentist, definitely not. But for the money that these are listed, they are a great value and work just fine for whitening gel applications or to protect from grinding your teeth in your sleep. There were no instructions included in the package (which I'm hoping will change in future shipments). There are instructions in the product listing here on Amazon and they are easy enough. I just set my electric kettle to warm water to 176 degrees Fahrenheit. And then used a glass of that water to soak them for about 10-20 seconds. I put one in my mouth and shaped it around my teeth by biting down and shaping with my fingers around the front. I had to repeat the warming and shaping parts a couple of times to get a good fit. You can also trim off the tab at the end with scissors. The resulting trays are still pretty thick and still rubbery in texture. I can't get them to stay on quite as snugly as an orthodontic retainer tray, but that's OK as their flexibility would make them poor retainers anyway. They stay in place fine enough for their intended use and definitely hold whitening gel closer to the teeth so you don't have to use as much. If you use these for bleaching your teeth: you only need to apply the whitening gel in little dabs to the fronts of the where your front-most visible teeth are. You don't need gel on the biting surfaces or backs of your teeth. It kind of spreads around anyway and won't be noticeable. These Aeisonsa Dental Trays can be used for whitening teeth, as a sports mouth guard, or as a mouth guard to prevent grinding at night. You get four trays and one case, but no directions. Luckily, the directions are stated in the product listing. Basically, they say to put the tray in 70-80 degree water and soak until soft. Then put the tray in your mouth and press onto your upper teeth until it's cool, and cut off the handle part. These are typical directions for most mouth guards, except the last guards I purchased had alternate directions using the microwave instead of the hot water. These instructions work great for me. The first step is to place a rolled-up strip of a wet paper towel into the mouthguard. Then you cover it up completely with another wet paper towel, microwave for 30-40 seconds depending on the power of your microwave. Then place the guard in your mouth, and form it to your teeth with your fingers while sucking to best adhere the material to your teeth. This last part takes the most time but is well worth your efforts. And just like that, you're done and you have a beautiful new mouthguard. So I tried those directions with this mouthguard, and it worked quickly and perfectly. I'm a big fan of using these OTC mouthguards rather than the $500 dentist-provided mouthguards, and I find they work just as well. Good product. Read more
