I got this because I just needed a good lighter at a carrier round, despite not smoking. This is a good lighter whether you are a smoker or not. This is a larger lighter that fits nicely in the hand and would fit pleasing in a pocket. It has a nice cover on the front of it so when you’re done using it you can cover up the hot part where the fire came out. In addition to be well-made, it has useful features, such as a spot to either cut a cigar, or in my case it will be used to cut rope, and plastic such a zip ties.. It also has a little poker thing that is good for cigars to draw more smoke out of them, but in my case I’m gonna use it just as a little pokey tool to poke things. Additionally there is a cigar punch on the bottom that covers the flame adjustment. Lastly, it has spots where you can store cigars or pens or whatever you need to on them at any given time. Lastly the cover for the flame just qualifies as a fidget thing in it’s all right. This looks well-made and durable, and I think it’s good value for the money. This isn’t the finest windproof cigar lighter available for purchase, but for a current selling price of less than $18 it’s a solid choice. First off, the packaging is fancy. It arrived fitted into foam insert, inside a gift-worthy box, with a gold-embossed lid, and a gold-embossing outer sleeve. The lighter itself feels solid in the hand (but not so heavy that you can’t carry it with you), and produces a nice torch flame that’s both even & consistent. The built in straight cutter running through the center is clever, handy, & sharp (there’s also a punch cutter that folds out of the bottom, though I don’t use it myself). One of my favorite features is the poker tool that removes the bottom that can be used to poke air vents to improve airflow & draw. I do have one complaint though, and that is the flame adjustment- I t’s only adjustable by folding out the punch cutter on the bottom to reveal a small +/- dial that you turn…cumbersome. A simple lever or dial on the side or something- almost anything- would be better. Still, I feel the quality of this lighter outweighs the cost. Read more
