Ok so I did something weird and used the baskets as storage baskets for my toddler and then used the plastic bags/ribbons to house bread gifts for guests at church. Both worked really well! The plastic bags didn’t split and I felt like the yellow ribbons worked best away from the pink of the baskets (together, it would’ve been an odd color combination). The baskets have held up SO WELL despite being constantly used by toddler hands and haven’t discolored with continuous use. They are a great color for girls and I love that they come in different sizes to appropriately house different sizes items. The quantity they hold is also very impressive and appropriate. These nesting gift baskets make a great gift themselves! The baskets do nest, so each one is progressively smaller and shallower. If you do plan on breaking up the set, the smallest two would be pretty small gift baskets and I wouldn’t put them alone in the cellophane bag that large. I’d be more inclined to keep those smaller baskets with two or three of the larger baskets. And I think the set of 5 makes for an excellent gift itself. The baskets are well made and sturdy. I don’t particularly care for the included gift ribbon, but I can just swap that out for something nicer. I don’t need to steam any wrinkles out of the baskets. The whole set is currently listed for under $25 and I have seen other woven baskets like this sell for that price for a single basket. I think they are an excellent value.
