These swabs a very sturdy and are easy to handle. They are a nice length for most projects and the shafts are very strong and do not bend. I will say that the heads are not as absorbent as they could be, but they will work fairly well for most needs. My only real problem with this item it that one does not really need to have to order a 500 swab bundle. It would be nice if they were sold in various sized groupings (50, 100, 150, 200). I use these swabs to clean computers and related hardware and all types of firearms. They work well for these uses. I am sure they will also work well for other things.
