Great generator so far… easy start. 2 year warranty. Hope it lasts
The media could not be loaded. Purchased. Came next day. Set it up. Put in the oil. Checked the spark plug wire. Added the exhaust Extension. Added gasoline. Started on the first pull! I found I a bit quieter than our previous 1800 watt gender that was 10 years old. Runs our fan and our 6000btu lg inverter compressor air conditioning on the boat fine. Unit has a meter to tell me the voltage, the amps, the power frequency, the hours it ran today, and the total hours. The knob that opens the gas cock, closes the choke, and ungrounds the electric so it can start was daily easy to turn and easy to turn on and to turn off. There is no breaker switch for the plug ins so you should remove plugs before you start it. It has an overload breaker. Lights and alarms and motor shuts down if it has low oil, if it senses too much carbon monoxide, and if it overloads the breaker pops. You push it in to reset and there is an ac reset switch. I ran 1100watt ac and it did not seem to make it ramp up speed too much. It was running between 1/4-1/2 speed. Reasonably quiet, especially when kept in a gen shed and using an exhaust extension. Gas lasted for several hours running the ac today. So far, I am happy either way this generator. It has a two year warranty. I hope that does not mean that they only expect it to work for two years and then it will break? My last one lasted 10 years. Is claims it runs up to 9 hours at 25% load, and 4.2 hours at 50% load and so it should run about 2.1 hours at full load. Tank is 1.8 gallons. Tank is plastic. Many parts of generator are plastic. Keeps it light. But I hope the motor crankshaft is not plastic. That would account for a two year warranty I guess. As long as it keeps starting, keeps running, and keeps making power for at least two years we will be happy. Longer would be nice but… the warranty tells you how long they stand behind the product. Thankfully it was on sale 25%off so we could afford it. It’s running our 6000 Btu ac on the boat all day and into the night. So far so good. If anything changes I will update my review. But so far I am happy with it. It was inexpensive enough. It works so far. Oh, and the pull string to start it is on the side I need it to be on for my shed install. All the generators smaller than 3000watts have it on the left side as you face its front controls. This one has the recoil start pull on the right hand side as you face the controls. Strange. No one seems to build them with the controls on the right side any more. So, lightweight-about 57 lbs. I could just carry it a few feet. Large gas tank 1.8 gallons Long runtime 9 hours at 1/2 load 4.2 hours at half load and 2,1 hours at full load. Easy to start. Easy to use. Good meter on front Easy to start and stop. Has eco mode to save fuel. Looks good. Has carb compliant exhaust system and co alarm. So far it’s great! I only hope it outlasts its warranty. Hopefully by the time it breaks I’ll have enough save to replace it. I will mention again my last generator (powerhouse 200wi) lasted 10 years. It would be great if this lasted half as long. It’s working it’s good I recommend this generator. Especially if you can get it on sale! Enjoy! Read more
