I add extra close , rain protection in nature gear ,few knifes , small blanket , camping cooking gear , extra shoes etc...there is still place in it I can believe it . Kind of beastly for my exact use for it but it has straps to winch it smaller. It’s my “go bag” so everything you may need leaving the house with (2) 8 year old boys. And that’s a lot. But it has plenty of extra space to just throw in sweat shirts or towels for the entire family. I haven’t had a day trip where I filled it completely yet. I also used it for an overnight camping trip all but the tent and sleeping bag were in it but I could stuff the sleeping bag in and strap the tent to it if I wanted.
