ITEM: 8 Lights Modern Chandeliers Long Light Fixtures (Black, 28 Lights) COMMENTS: We have an extremely tall living room in a semi-A-frame and really struggled to find something that would fit without an extreme drop length from the base or being just too wide. PROS: - The fact that the drops are adjustable is fantastic - it makes for really fun customization options. - I LOVE that they are dimmable and have different light options. Bonus points for the lights being in the base and each drop pendant. - It really fits a perfect need - long drop without being too wide. Huge plus for that. NEUTRALS: - I highly recommend professional installation or 3+ people involved. The installation itself isn’t complicated (ie the wiring), but it is unwieldy as all get out. CONS: - I was disappointed when I realized that the pendants themselves had bubble inclusions - I didn’t catch that in the images when I requested it, and bubble inclusions are one my least favorite design features list. However it’s not insanely noticeable, so it still gets a pass and five stars. PACKAGING/GIFTABILITY: (All of my packages are sent with Prime Delivery Day and manufacturer’s packaging preference selected. This may impact how things are shipped and cause my packaging experience to differ from yours.) It came in manufacturer’s packaging - a solid cardboard box - with the contents indicated. I would recommend receiving it and wrapping instead of directly sending it. WOULD I PURCHASE?: Probably, the specific features of it make it nearly perfect for what we needed (still holding onto the bubble inclusion hate), but the $730.00 asking price (even with the 5% available coupon) is a wallet-hitter. CONCLUSION: This is an amazing fixture with some great features in the length adjustment/light temp/dimmable. It fits a perfect need for a long, but not wide, fixture that fits a space depending on needs. I’m really pleased with it, but do note that the glass does have bubble inclusions in them (which I didn’t catch and tend to dislike intensely - luckily it’s not very noticeable). This 28 light, modern, long chandelier is gorgeous! It is made of heavy, quality crystal, and can be ordered in a variety of sizes to accommodate any large space. In person, the chandelier looks a bit different than it appears in the description picture. Compared to the picture, the chandelier is a less all consuming. The "globe" shaped appearing crystals are actually "tear drop" shaped. Inside the crystals are suspended air bubbles (or perhaps beads). And, the crystals, and bases are thinner/smaller than they appear. Having ordered several chandeliers of late, it is clear to me that the pictures customers see of products are sometimes superimposed on to a generic background. And, although one can see the products easily, the pictures aren't always dimensionally accurate. In this case, I like the actual chandelier much better than as it is shown. Depending on the size of the room, this chandelier - in different lengths - could be used over a large table in the dining room, over a grand piano, or in a large entryway. In fact, having matching chandeliers of various lengths would lend a truly beautiful congruence of style in one's home. I love this. It's gorgeous, and highly recommended! ***** Read more
