Fits so snug in the portafilter that I can't pry it out with my fingers -- much tighter than the base non-pressurized portafilter. But I wanted two so I more could pull quad shots quicker. Works great, but I use this filter last as I need a spoon or something similar to pry it out. Seems easier to pull even shots with this one as well. Might try to file this one down a little bit and see if that improves things, but no issues otherwise in terms of usability. Was thinking maybe this would work well in my caphalon espresso machine I did have to grind down the lip as it would not fit in my machine. I used a bench belt sander. Once I got it to fit, I have tried several shots with different grind size and I’ve been underwhelmed by the performance. I’ll stick with my pressurized Porter filler baskets for a much better shot. I would like to try answering some questions about this basket and the popular Calphalon Temp IQ machine. - The basket fits nice and snug in the portafilter. - The height of this basket is about 0.2 mm higher than the original baskets of Temp IQ. Therefore, you won't be able to lock the portafilter in place. However, you can easily sand it off with a sharpening stone (it takes 10-15 minutes), and it works with no problem. - Note that this basket is deeper than the Temp IQ baskets. Thus you need to put a bit more coffee in it, otherwise, it feels over-extracted. - I think the original pressurized baskets for Temp IQ work best because the machine temperature and timing profiles were set for them. My personal preference is the 2 shot one. I am sure one can find the best optimum for the amount of coffee, ground size in this basket, and a single- or double-shot pull mode of the Temp IQ, but it will take some experimenting. Read more

It pops into the portafilter nicely, and doesn’t take any more pressure than the original to fit to the group head - no pliers or sanding required!
