Really nice looking radio. Packaged well. Really great instructions included. Pretty straightforward process of install. Beware of the lever locked harness on the vehicles original radio so you don’t force it off and break it. The screen is huge which is super nice and for the price you can’t beat it. Comes with lots of spare connections do multiple vehicles but I will note most will go unused which is totally fine just make sure nothing is pinched when installing. Picked up the 11th WiFi6 upgrade radio for my Ram 1500 and it’s been a big step up over the stock head unit, install wasn’t bad just needed the right harness and dash kit and it fit right into place, once powered up it booted quick and connected to my phone without any hassle, CarPlay and Android Auto both run smooth and I really like having the option to use wireless or plug in if I want faster charging, screen is clear at 1080p and plenty bright even when the sun is hitting the cab, The WiFi6 speed actually makes a difference compared to my older aftermarket unit, streaming maps or pulling updates is noticeably quicker and Bluetooth 5.4 keeps the audio stable with no skips which used to bug me a lot on long drives, the built in navigation works fine but honestly I stick with Google maps through CarPlay most of the time, still nice to have a backup if signal drops, Sound quality is definitely improved, cleaner highs and better bass with the factory speakers which surprised me, I imagine with upgraded speakers it’d be even better, touch response is snappy not laggy like some of the budget radios, SWC hooked up so I didn’t lose steering wheel controls either which was important, Overall it feels modern and makes the truck’s interior feel up to date, between the faster wireless connection, solid screen, and easy setup it’s been worth it for me, if you’ve got a Ram between 2013 and 2019 and want CarPlay/Android Auto without fighting with adapters this is a really good option Read more
The media could not be loaded. **Edit** The radio has now stopped responding to steering wheel or knob controls. Only 50% of the vertical icons on the left side of the screen work. Having to remove and replace this unit. **Edit** I'm pleasantly surprised but there's a caveat. Let's get the negative out of the way up front and center. If you can get past this issue the radio is great. So what is it? The TLink5 app. It's horrible. Ar at least that was my first impression. An ad everytime I launched it on my phone. At one point I needed the app and I was led to adding my Credit Card in an effort to access what I thought was the TLink5 app. My card company caught it as fraud and didn't let the transaction go through. For me HUGE issue. However there is light at the end of the tunnel. After playing with the radio and app for a couple days I found that so long as the app resides on the phone and the TLink5 app is set to auto start on the radio the android auto connection is seamless. So be aware you really don't need to launch the app on the phone, it just has to exist on it So if you've gotten passed that portion, the radio itself and the function is rock solid. My Pixel 7pro and this unit play very well together. No slowness or drops have been noted. That includes the entirety of a 2k mile trip from CO to FL. It was flawless. Installation was simple. If you're mechanically inclined this should not be an issue. The manual is well laid out and easy to follow. It is not the best English but you'll be able to figure it out I didn't lose a single function in my truck other than SiriusXM reception, however I just stream it through Android Auto.
