When we were kids; we all messed around with a rainstick. A foot...maybe three foot; it was fun and interesting, but that's about it. I bought the monster of this group and it arrived in good shape. I am careful to put it away to keep it from becoming a toy for my band members. I have noticed that the cord that is wrapped and glued around the ends is beginning to come loose. I think some wood glue or gorilla glue will be enough to fix the problem, but that is something to be aware of. I would buy it again, though, because it was a good price for a beautiful instrument.
