I picked up these cube magnets for my model railroad and scale modeling projects I do in Z scale and N scale. and they've quickly become my go-to "workhorse" magnets. The cube shape is super useful, and they have a good amount of strength for all sorts of tasks, from holding parts together while glue dries to magnetizing building sections on my layout so I can access the interiors. One primary use for me is using them for small structures when Im building them. I use a magnetic metal sheet and with these square magnets I can hold parts together while I’m gluing and have it be perfectly square. They are very small, so read the description. I have used 5x5, 8x8 and 10x10 mm. Important for precision work is that they might not be the exact size advertised. It was tinier than I expected. Definitely strong!!! Color is fine. I did expect it to be a little bigger for the price but it worked for the iron project we were doing so that's good but definitely saw it bigger on the picture with the photo. I gave it 4 stars because of the quality! Read more

Too weak for me. Not what I was looking for - if you want stronger magnets, just buy off of the actual sites like JC Magnetics or total Element. Also, one of my magnets was noticeably smaller than all the others, by at least 1mm on each side. Doesn't sound like a lot, but that's a 20% different (1mm/5mm). You get what you pay for. Read more
