I use these to detail clean my firearms. The pointed swabs are great for getting into little nooks and crannies. They are firm enough so you can apply pressure and really scrub with them. They are small, and it takes a half dozen to get the job done, but that's OK. they are made of wood and cotton, so they'll decompose quickly enough in the landfills. My only complaint (?) is that they are a little smaller than .22 in diameter. I would like a swab that is right at (or slightly larger than) .22 in diameter. Otherwise, these are great to detail clean any caliber (obviously, not for the bore). Read more
Normal Q-Tips are great for cleaning your ears and dozens of other things - but not getting into the tight rail grooves on a pistol. The tapered tip on these swabs finally solves that problem for me. They come in a very nice storage box and groups are individually wrapped to keep them clean. A great addition to the cleaning routine. Read more
