I don’t really have enough experience with hall effect keyboards to say whether this keyboard compared to others is good, but as a standalone product I think its an amazing value. I’m genuinely blown away by the quality of this keyboard for it’s arguably low price, it most definitely compares to my cool killer K68 i got a few years ago while being like half the price. I like the way It sounds enough too, so none of that really bothers me. I may change the key caps because I’m not super fond of them but as to whether or not you should get it? The answer is yes. This keyboard is packed with good features plus the driver is an actual download driver and not just an online driver. Read more

I have owned many mechanical keyboards over the years with various designs and switches, but this is my first hall-effect keyboard, and MAN does this thing impress! The first thing you immediately notice is the build quality because of how heavy the box is. The keyboard is a solid piece of aluminum and weighs a whopping 2.59 lbs (1176 g), and it feels great. Most of the keyboards I have used have been a combination of aluminum and plastic, but now I understand why some opt for a full aluminum build. The weight ensures that the board will not move during the most intense gaming sessions, and it just feels premium when you hold it. The USB-C connector on the back is in the middle of the board, so if you are using a coiled aviator cable like me, it won't lie properly across your desk (minor issue). The keyboard has south-facing LEDS, which is nice, but the keycaps don't shine through, so they are tough to see if you are in a dark room -- but this is easily fixed by getting a new set of keycaps. Speaking of keycaps -- while the cherry-profile is nice, the legends are horrible. It uses a typical "mecha/gamer" font, which is just atrocious to look at, but they feel great. Typing is smooth thanks to the keycaps and the wonderful hall-effect switches that feel buttery smooth with every key press. As someone who is used to mechanical switches, I wasn't sure if hall-effect ones would be worth it -- I was wrong. After using this for a couple of weeks, I can definitely tell the difference, and it will be hard to go back to mechanical switches without serious consideration. Now for the negatives -- the software. With Royalaxe being a virtual unknown to me, I did some internet sleuthing and found that the software, both online and downloadable, is seriously sketchy at best. Numerous people have tested the software and noticed serious security issues that should be considered before using it. Based on that research, I opted not to use it, which means I am unable to customize the board and take advantage of all the features. Unfortunate as this is, I'd rather be safe than sorry and am docking it one star for that reason. Overall, I think this is an amazing board with HUGE potential. While I am not a fan of 65% layouts (I prefer 75% layouts), this board is perfect for my secondary workstation and will look great after a keycap swap. If you are looking for a great, out-of-the-box keyboard, this is a great one to start with! Read more

Below the switches you have an aluminum alloy plate, a cotton silencer, the PCB, the bottom Cotton EPDM before the final aluminum body and plates. There is no feet adjustments on this. The built-in rubberized feet This is a magnetic switch keyboard. Meaning you can change your actual actuation adjustment PER key that you want. For example. The default is 2.0mm, which is when the key is registered to be pressed. On certain keys like backspace, space bar..etc I like to reduce that to about 1.50mm. This allows the key to FEEL more responsive because it registers the key sooner. This allows you to customize things to your liking. So if you have never used magnetic switches before and you like this kind of customization, then this is for you. If you want, there is a SELECT ALL function so you can change all of the keys at once. The feeling just depends on the individual. How fast someone types. The muscle memory they have when typing, etc., all of that matters. **That brings me to the customization. There is no software you get for this. Instead, they will provide you with a specific link that you need to go down and it uses an Online Configurator. It will connect to your keyboard, and that's where you will make the changes. Ill post some screenshots of what it looks like in this review. You can do all the normal things. Change your Function keys. Combo Keys, Disable keys, setup macros. You can change the report rate as well up to 8000hz. This keyboard is both mac and windows compatible. You’ll need to get used to your key setup so you can match up with whatever you use (Win or mac). But you can also switch your Win/Mac profiles on the fly as needed. However remember this is a wired keyboard so you cant just BT Connect to different computers. You need to physically plug it in. This is a great keyboard overall. Ive tested MANY. 65% keyboards, full size, 75%. Everything inbetween. I do love the actuation of magnetic switches and it can really make a difference in your typing experience. The overall size of the KB is a bit tough if you are used to typing on a full size all of the time. So this is good for certain situations. If you are taking this with you On-the-go, just remember that its QUITE HEAVY for its size. Without looking at the official specs it was just under 2 and ¾ pounds on my mailing scale. But, it won’t slide around or move anywhere. The weight, combined with the rubber feet, makes it really solidly stay in place. Read more
