You can do it yourself and you can be very accurate along the lines. It is effective at removing peach fuzz and finer facial hair without much pain or discomfort. The only disadvantage of using this spring over the threading is hygiene. The thread is a one time use and is disposed of once used. The springt can collect hair and facial skin and it collects in the springs. It is more difficult to sanitize and clean. This may be more appropriate for home use. If you have a low pain tolerance, be prepared! It’s effective, but "painless" is a bit of an overstatement in the product description. No Instructions: It would have been much better if directions or a link to a video had come with the tool. I eventually figured out that you have to bend it into a "U" shape and twist, but it took some trial and error. Adding a simple instruction card would make it much more convenient for the customer. The Upside: Result-Oriented: Once you get past the initial "ouch" and figure out the technique, it actually works quite well. It’s much faster than using tweezers for the upper lip or chin.
