This is the flask you want. Trust me. Sure, it's only 7 oz rather than the typical 8, but it's also more pocketable. Besides, they offer larger ones! The quality of the stainless is quite high. The welds are good. They are mostly not even visible after being ground down and smoothed at the factory. The walls of the flask are brushed stainless steel, while the top and bottom plates are polished stainless. The bottom one is stamped with the capacity and material type. The lid is metal! It also contains a silicone seal inside so it is 100% air tight and will NOT leak. The threads are cut very well so the cap threads on and off smoothly and accurately- even with one hand. The threads being high quality also means that they do not feel sharp or uncomfortable on your lips if you drink directly from the flask. These would be excellent for stove fuel and cooking oil too. No leaks. Do make sure to get the one with the funnel. The arm that holds the cap is chrome dipped plastic, but that's okay. It does its job perfectly. I doubt you will find a flask with a metal arm these days. I have not experienced any corrosion issues. The inside of the flask was quite clean from the factory as well. No flakes or particles came out with a quick shake of water and being dumped into a clear cup for inspection. Peering into the flask with a light the welds and seams are nice and clean. I've left spiced rum in mine for days straight without any discoloration. Rum has sugar in it, so that's a good sign. I would still expect some discoloration if I put my favorite cherry liquor in it. Avoid acidic drinks with any flasks. The biggest pro to this besides the top notch quality? The customer support provided by the company. They seem to really stand behind their products and your satisfaction. I've had no issues at all with mine but judging by what I see here I have complete confidence that they would be wonderful if I ever needed to contact them. After posting my original review below the seller contacted me and apologized for the "dud" I received. They offered me the choice of a replacement or refund even though I had thrown out the original flask and I chose the replacement. It shipped very quickly and the new flask is great! The funnel isn't very useful, but no leaks! Great customer service. Original Review Bought as a gift for my husband. The flask looked good and seemed to be great quality when it arrived. I sandblasted his initials into it and he loved it! When he filled it up though it had a spot on the bottom that leaked-it looked as though the bottom wasn't totally sealed to the sides.
