I love this battery pack. Great for my Honda Civic. Ever since I installed it my dashcam now records full time in parking mode without draining and reducing the lifetime of my car battery. Also, the car battery by itself won't make the dashcam's parking mode last more than 6 hours. It charges as advertised, about 60 minutes from 0 to 100. In my case this is perfect because I commute to work about 30-40 mins depending on traffic. Overnight parking mode recording would use about 65% of the battery pack's total charge, so it will charge back to 80%-90% on my way to work, which is enough for the time my car is parked at work ~8 hours, and then again it charges to 100% on my way back home, since the dashcam used less power in 8 hours of parking mode recording instead of ~12 hours of overnight parking mode recording. The manual suggests to place the battery pack under the seat or in the glove box compartment. I tried fitting it under the seat first but quickly decided that it wasn't a good idea to put it there, given the small space for leg room in the back of a honda civic, people's feet always reach under the front seat, so they would be stepping on the battery pack all the time. Totally not good when it rains or snows. It fits perfectly in the glove box compartment, and I can even still put other stuff there, like glasses cases, car manual, flashlight, tire gauge. It's also good because it allows me to easily see the LED lights of the battery charge level. I know there are other dashcam battery packs that come integrated with bluetooth and an app to check on the battery level, but they have two major cons, especially for small cars: 1. They are much wider so they won't fit in glove box compartment, and Idk any other place where they could be placed in a small car. I already mentioned that under the seat is a bad idea because they could get wet. In the trunk? Maybe...but good luck with doing all that wiring back and forth (from fuse box to trunk for the battery pack and from trunk to the front for the dashcam). 2. They are like $100 more expensive. Not really worth it, given that the only major difference is their app and slightly faster charge time: ~10 mins faster. Duration for parking mode is about the same. So again I said, I'm satisfied and happy with the purchase of this battery pack. Perfect for small cars, and now I have peace of mind that I have full parking mode recording without killing my car's battery. The only thing I would say I didn't like about this product, but it is a very minor detail that is 100% solvable is that it comes with only one add-a-fuse tap for the 'always-live' connection. For the accessory connection it's just the bare copper of the cable, which the manual instructs to wrap around the output end of the car fuse. The problem is that for most modern cars, especially small cars, they have low profile mini fuse, which makes it impossible to wrap around anything in the terminals. What I did is to wrap the copper strands vertically and introduce the fuse quickly so the cable won't move, and then wrap with electrical tape whatever bare copper was left remaining outside the fuse. This worked and felt tight but I didn't like this setup. With time the electrical tape will attract dust which will in turn start rusting the copper or maybe even become loose. So I ended up buying a set of add-a-fuse taps, which are very cheap in amazon, and voila problem solved. Read more
