I already had a set of Stanley precision screw drivers—two Phillips and four slotted—that fit the majority of small screws that I've found. Still, it would be nice to have more drive bit styles in more sizes to fit the exceptional screws. This set has seven sizes of Phillips, nine sizes of slotted, seven Torx, a square drive that fits S1 and S2, plus a generous assortment of security bits that would be hard to find anywhere else. I wondered how powerful the motor would be and whether the bits would slip and strip out the screw heads. This driver has a surprising amount of torque. Be sure you have a good grip on it before you press the button. I disassembled and reassembled an electronic calculator with six Phillips head screws. The disassembly and reassembly were remarkably quick and trouble-free. The power screwdriver spun the screws out with alacrity, and with little to no camout. One screw started to slip, but I found I could prevent this by gripping the driver in my fist and pressing down on the butt of the screwdriver with my thumb. If you need to apply more torque and downward force, the included manual screwdriver handle is up to the job. When reaching into small and awkward spaces, it's sometimes hard to remember which direction is clockwise from the screw's point of view. When you press the forward or reverse button, the display lights up with an arrow indicating clockwise or counterclockwise rotation and, for added certainty, displays an animated screw moving toward or away from the device's tip. Two built-in LEDs put a respectably bright light on the screw head—exactly where you want it. The battery is charged via USB-C, which is quickly replacing USB-A as the de facto standard. The kit doesn't include a charger, but does include a USB-A to USB-C charging cord. The battery charges quickly, runs for a long time on a charge, and is slow to lose its charge when not in use. Screws are less prone to falling off the bit if both are magnetized, and this kit includes a magnetizer for that purpose. I've never needed to demagnetize a screw, but if I do, the other end of the magnetizer is a demagnetizer. The bits come in a case that slides open and closed, locking in the closed position. It reminded me of a well-designed ammo clip. The entire kit comes in a 7.5" x 4.5" x 1.5" stiff-sided, zippered case. I never knew how much I needed this tool until I tried it. I picked this up because I do a lot of small electronics stuff as a hobby. For example, I am building some cosplay items right now that include small electronics and lighting within them and they have tiny screws throughout. I COULD install them by hand, but this device made it MUCH easier. While I haven't needed to use all of the bits in this kit, I've used a few different ones now and they all seem perfectly fine for any project I might throw at this. And this comes with a LOT of bits as the product description images show. I love the addition of an LCD screen on it. Would've been perfectly fine without it, but it's a nice touch and really makes the device feel like a lot of thought and consideration was put into it. It also comes with a nice looking case that helps not only keep things organized, but also easy to transport wherver you need. The only real drawback to a device like this is the amount of torque and driving power can only be driven so high with such a small device because of the limited battery size. This is something that was apparent to me before I used it though because...the laws of physics. So I'm not going to knock it down a grade for that. As an example, I had some screws last night that needed to drive through some PETG (slightly) which means they needed quite a bit of force to push it through. The drill bogged down there. But it actually hurt my hand to screw it manually so it's not like it was an easy time. Drills that are full size will usually be able to handle this kind of stuff, but a small drill like this obviously cannot. It's not meant for drilling, only assisting in screwing in small things that don't have a lot of resistance. But it is excellent at doing that quickly and effectively which is what I needed! Overall, I'm very please with this little device and it saves me a TON of time when I have a bunch of small screws I need installed quickly. It feels well made with no QC issues and I feel confident recommending it to others. For your small projects, this thing will be a lifesaver. Read more
