I bought this 8.5 x 11 sketchbook for my sister for Christmas since she loves to draw, and she really liked it. The size is great because it gives plenty of space for bigger drawings and detailed sketches. The paper is good quality and works well with pencils, pens, and markers. The look and quality are good, but the sheets are not 8.5 x 11 inches — they're a bit smaller. The cover is 8.5 x 11 inches, but the pages are about 8.25 x 10.75 inches. It's likely intentional so that the pages are fully covered and have proper edge protection, but that sort of thing should be stated in the product description in my opinion because I had the impression that the sheets were the same size as printing paper. The sketchbook still works well and I actually still like the size, but if you’re expecting true letter-size (8.5"x11") pages for scanning or layout consistency, be aware of the smaller pages and reduced usable area due to the binding.
