In the Northwest, everything is moist and this light was going into our open carport/shop making the weatherproofing more important. The light feels commercial grade and well made. It took me a little over an hour to replace our old sad light. I appreciated that he brightness and the color temperature were user selectable (34W, 38W or 45W for brightness / 3500K, 4000k, 5000k for temperature). I needed the brightest it offered and preferred the more neutral color. I don't expect to have to change it, but it does require the cover be removed to do so. While this is not going to get much direct moisture, being outside in the NW and having the protection gives peace of mind for the long haul. Read more

The Run Bison 4FT Vapor Tight LED Fixture is a well made, compact and versatile light fixture. I got this fixture to replace an old 4 tube fluorescent fixture in an unfinished basement. It's about a quarter of the size of the fluorescent and provides better light. This fixture allows the user to select 34W, 38W or 45W for brightness and 3500K, 4000k or 5000k temperature (how yellow or white the light appears). I'm using it at maximum brightness and the medium temperature. One small negative is that switching these settings requires opening the fixture and removing the LED board, something I don't want to go through more than once in a great while. This is a commercial grade light the manufacturer says can be used wet and dusty locations. It can also be dimmed with a commercial 0-10V dimmer. Dimming was not necessary for my application and that type of dimmer costs as much as the light. I just left the dimming control connection unplugged inside the fixture and it works fine. Installation was simple once I determined a dimmer was not necessary. Read more

Be forewarned that the installation process is not simple. It took a lot longer than I thought it would, but was fully installed in under 2 hours. If you are replacing an old fluorescent fixture in a garage like me, just know this will likely not match up with any of the previous mounting holes or hardware. Since I do not need this to be fully waterproof, I modified it by creating a wiring access point in the middle rather than just the end. I set this to the highest settings possible, and it does not like brightness in any way! I like it enough to purchase a second one for the other side fixture in my garage. Read more

We have a farm, and these lights have proven themselves to be very good. I have them in all the barns and also in the basement now. These things are amazing. We live in a very wet climate and have no troubles with them whatsoever. They give off a goodly amount of light, even the ones at the top of 40X60X30 pole barn. Anywhere you want light, have moisture problems and don't want to have to monkey around with the light all the time, I say get these. Indoors, outdoors, they work great. Read more

This light is great to have! It makes a very nice light for our shed. Even though it's in the shed and we don't have it around water, it is waterproof. It was easy for us to put up and it puts out a really nice light! Read more

This was put in crawlspace and provides bright even light without excessive heat. Mounting was straightfoward and it worked directly with an electronic low voltage dimmer (0-10V). Read more

I have it set at its brightest. 10 latches secures the cover down to the seal in the recess. Comes with some mounting hardware and cord seal for the end. You must supply your own wiring, conduit, or cord. Only issue I have is the led strip is free floating in the fixture. Makes it a pain to install the cover as you have to kinda hold the led tray up and put cover on at same time. Unless I missed it, I saw no latches or fittings to hold it down. Will take another look and if there is will update this review. Read more

Select this LED fixture to replace outdated fluorescent fixtures. The fixture directly connects to an AC source or a dimmer. It comes with an AC connector. If connecting to AC and the source does not have a compatible connector, simply remove it. The color temperature is selectable, as is the wattage. For a low ceiling shop light, the low wattage produces ample light at a cost savings. Read more
