I love that it’s machine washable, which makes cleaning so much easier. I ordered a larger size (8x10), so I’m not sure if I want to put it in my own washer, even though it fits. If you have old, cold floors made from 1950s timber, a rug is an absolute necessity. But if you’ve checked rug prices lately, you know how expensive they’ve become. Add in the safety concerns, and finding the right one can be a challenge. That’s why this rug was such a great find. It feels luxuriously soft, has a modern pattern that welcome spills, and comes in a generous size for an amazing price. And best of all, no crease marks when I unfolded the little origami square it was packed into. Wow. I was immediately impressed by the backing. No rug pad is needed, and it actually grips the floor remarkably well. I even gave it a running test and stopped short without the rug slipping an inch. Whatever magic they used in that backing, I hope it lasts for the life of the rug. It says it's machine washable but you probably need an industrial size machine and be able to hang it to dry. Who has that kind of space? There’s an edge stitch I’m not completely in love with, but you can only notice it up close.
